Municipal No-Lien Letter Requests

Daugherty Township issues Municipal No-Lien letters. Requests should be made in writing and include the following information:

Current Owner’s Name
Property Street Address
Tax Parcel Number
Buyer’s Name (if applicable)
Closing Date

Please enclose a check in the amount of $15.00 payable to Daugherty Township along with a self addressed, stamped envelope and mail to:

*Note: If this request is received with less than five business days prior to the closing date, then the fee becomes $25.00 to expedite.

Garbage No-Lien Letters

Daugherty Township does not issue Garbage No-Lien letters as the Township does not file garbage liens against property owners. Daugherty Township does not provide garbage hauling services. It is the responsibility of each resident to contract with an independent private hauler.

Water No-Lien Letters

Daugherty Township does not issue Water No-Lien letters as the Township does not file liens for water service against property owners. Daugherty Township does not have a Water Authority. However, Beaver Falls Municipal Authority owns and operates a water system within the municipal boundaries of Daugherty Township. Please contact the Beaver Falls Municipal Authority for more information regarding water liens. Their number can be found in the Phone Directory of this site.

Sewer No-Lien Letters

Daugherty Township does not issue Sewer No-Lien letters as the Township does not file liens for sewer service against property owners. Daugherty Township does not have a Sewer or Sanitary Authority. However, the New Brighton Sanitary Authority owns and operates a sewer system within the municipal boundaries of Daugherty Township. Zoning Verification and Request Letters

The Daugherty Township Official Zoning Map is available on this site. However, if you require certification from the Daugherty Township Zoning Officer for a specific parcel your request must be presented in writing. The Zoning Officer will issue a written zoning compliance letter after determining the permitted use on the property. Requests should include the following information:

Current Use/ Use Requested

Dye Tests

Daugherty Township does not have any regulations requiring homeowners to have their on-lot sewage disposal system dye tested prior to the sale of their property. However, these tests are often required by lending agencies prior to the property transaction.

Occupancy Permits

Daugherty Township issues Certificates of Occupancy for new construction and for additions or alterations to existing buildings. The Township does not require the issuance of a Certificate of Occupancy for the sale of property.
