Our founder, George Gabauer, envisioned a funeral home that would be located adjacent to the beautiful indoor mausoleum on the grounds of Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, Inc. Sylvania Hills Memorial Park
Since it began operating in 1938, Sylvania Hills Memorial Park has grown to be one of the largest and most beautiful cemeteries in Western Pennsylvania.
Our mausoleum is one of the largest and most elegant in the region. There are several different crypt options for families to choose from, including companion and single marble front crypt spaces as well as wood front crypt spaces and several options for families that choose cremation. We also have two chapels that may be used for committal services or daily meditation.
For those families choosing cremation, we offer glass, bronze and wood front niches, as well as bronze memorials and granite memorial benches. Exclusive estate areas have been developed in the park that allow families to select bench and gated estates as well as private family mausoleums. Personalized landscaping is available to match each family’s discriminating taste.
In addition to our private family estates and our mausoleum, we offer numerous lovely gardens for those families choosing ground burial. We have 102 acres of beautifully manicured grounds with 23 separate gardens for families to choose from. We have traditionally been a flat bronze memorial only park, but the newer Garden of the Laurels allows families the option of upright granite memorials.
We are proud to be a member of the Dignity Memorial® network of more than 1,600 funeral, cremation and cemetery service providers. When you choose a Dignity Memorial provider, you not only receive the compassionate care you expect from a locally operated establishment, but also the value you deserve from the largest and most trusted network of funeral, cremation and memorialization services.
All of our services are designed to help our client families through one of the most personal and challenging stages of life.
